Terms of Service

Welcome to ALIGNED. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ALIGNED mobile application (the "App") and the website located at alignedcosmos.com (the "Site"), collectively referred to as the "Service." By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by accessing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

ALIGNED is a personalized astrology application that provides:

• Natal (birth) chart calculations and analysis
• A unique Soul Archetype generated from your birth chart
• An AI-powered Oracle for personalized cosmic guidance conversations
• Daily personalized readings, cosmic tasks, and rituals based on planetary transits
• Compatibility readings between charts
• Moon manifestation and intention-tracking tools
• Community features (Cosmic Circles)
• Shareable visual content (Share Cards, Cosmic DNA Art)

3. Important Disclaimers

The astrological readings, Soul Archetypes, Oracle responses, and all other content generated by the App are produced using algorithms and artificial intelligence. They should be treated as tools for self-reflection and personal exploration, not as factual predictions or professional guidance.

4. Account Registration

• You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate birth data (date, time, and location of birth) for chart calculations. Inaccurate data will result in inaccurate readings.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

5.1 Free Trial

ALIGNED offers a 7-day free trial that provides full access to all premium features. You will not be charged during the trial period. We will send you a reminder before your trial ends (approximately on Day 5).

5.2 Subscription Plans

After the free trial, continued access to premium features requires a paid subscription. Current plans include:

• Annual Plan: $59.99 per year (equivalent to approximately $4.99/month)
• Monthly Plan: $9.99 per month

Prices are in United States Dollars (USD) and may vary by region. Prices are subject to change with notice.

5.3 Billing and Renewal

• All subscriptions are processed and billed through Apple's App Store via In-App Purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.

5.4 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings on your device or through the App Store.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support, as all payments are processed through the App Store.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

"User Content" includes chat messages sent to the Oracle, journal entries, intentions, and any other content you create within the App.

• You retain ownership of all User Content you create.
• By using the Service, you grant ALIGNED a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you (e.g., generating Oracle responses, storing chat history, personalizing your experience).
• We will not sell your User Content to third parties or use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

6.2 Shared Content

When you use sharing features (Share Cards, Archetype sharing, etc.), the content you choose to share publicly is your responsibility. ALIGNED is not responsible for how others may use content you share outside the App.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or any connected systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the Service.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the Service.
• Use the Oracle or any other AI feature to generate content that is harmful, illegal, or violates third-party rights.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the App design, algorithms, Soul Archetype system, Cosmic DNA Art generation, text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are owned by ALIGNED and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

9. AI-Generated Content

The AI Oracle and other AI-powered features generate content using artificial intelligence models. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate.
• AI-generated responses are not professional advice of any kind.
• You should not rely on AI-generated content for important life decisions without consulting qualified professionals.
• We are not liable for any actions you take based on AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• ALIGNED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
• IN NO EVENT SHALL ALIGNED'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO ALIGNED IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ALIGNED, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any User Content you create or share.

12. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law).

13. Modifications to Service and Terms

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice.
• We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of California.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ALIGNED regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
